FOP Grant Recipient Dr. Francesca Duncan on the TODAY Show discussing ovarian aging and longevity

We’re so proud to spotlight Dr. Francesca Duncan, a former Friends of Prentice grant recipient, who recently sat down with Maria Shriver on the TODAY Show to discuss ovarian aging and longevity, a vital and often overlooked area of women’s health. Friends of Prentice provided early-stage seed funding that helped launch Dr. Duncan’s groundbreaking research in this field. Seeing her work now reach national recognition is an incredible reminder of how early investment in women’s health science can create lasting impact.

As Dr. Duncan shared, “I deeply admire Maria Shriver, who has been a steadfast advocate for women’s health. I am incredibly honored to have been interviewed by her... and to highlight the broad importance of the ovary for fertility, hormone function, and overall health.”

We’re honored to have played a part in her journey and we remain committed to funding the next generation of women’s health research. Let’s continue driving awareness, innovation, and impact forward.
