FOP Board Member Dr. Janelle Bolden discussing Maternal Health Month | ABC7 Chicago

We’re incredibly proud of Friends of Prentice Board Member Dr. Janelle Bolden for using her voice to shine a light on such an important and often overlooked topic during Maternal Mental Health Month. 💜

In her recent appearance on ABC7 Chicago, Dr. Bolden spoke about the realities of maternal mental health conditions, including postpartum depression and anxiety, which affect 1 in 5 women, yet too often go undiagnosed and untreated. She also highlighted the ongoing disparities in access to mental healthcare before, during, and after pregnancy, particularly in underserved communities.

Conversations like these matter. At Friends of Prentice, we believe advancing women’s health means continuing to elevate awareness, support research, and advocate for better care at every stage of life. Thank you, Dr. Bolden, for helping Spark the Movement and for continuing to champion women’s health both in and beyond the exam room.
